Sonny Renn Mashburn, 39, of Sanford passed away on Tuesday February 17, 2026. A funeral service will be held on Sunday February 22, 2026, at 5pm at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home. The family will receive friends starting at 3pm before the service at the funeral home.
He was born in Lee County a son of Steven Keith Mashburn and India Laws. Renn was a beloved father, friend, and coworker. He loved a routine, hanging out with his closest friends, and his dog poppy. He was tough but had a big caring heart. There was never a time when he could not come up with a dad joke. He never strayed far from his love of Bigfoot and Busch Light. He will be extremely missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Renn is survived and dearly missed by his daughter Natalie Smith; father Steve Mashburn; mother India Laws and husband Kennie; brothers Jason Keith Mashburn, and Steven Michael Mashburn (Misty); paternal grandparents Sunny and Doris Mashburn; partner Kaitlyn Tillman and her daughter Adalynn; and beloved dog Poppy.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Joseph and Flo Pierce.
Memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
