Bobby was a 1960 graduate of Summerlin Institute. He served in the US Navy and was a member of the Church of Christ. He was employed by IMC Global for 35 years. He was preceded in death by his father David Hood of Newnan, GA; his mother Lois Hood Thielen of Bartow, FL, sons Dennis Hood of Orlando, FL and David Hood of Norfolk, VA. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Billie Jane (Birge) Hood, his son Tracy (Anita) Hood, Lakeland, FL, his daughter Amy (Gary) Patterson, Alpharetta, GA and granddaughter Shelby Hood, Lakeland, FL.
Memorial Service will be held November 29, 2025 at 11:00 am at the North Jackson Ave. Church of Christ, Bartow, Florida.
