Sarah Hood, age 93, went to be with her Lord, November 2, 2025. She was born to Buell and Leona Honea April 28,1932, in Cumming, Georgia. She was married to her husband, Bud Hood, for forty-four years. She was a beloved sister, wife, friend, and mother. She worked for decades as a machine seamstress, as well as farming and raising her daughter, Evelyn. She loved to sew, quilt, laugh, and garden. She was Granny to one granddaughter, three great-grandchildren, and lots of their friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband as well as her brother, L.B. Honea, sister-in-law, Eulene (Silvers) Honea, brother, Ernest Honea, sister, Dorothy (Honea) Smith, brother-in-law, Hershel Smith, J.C. Grogan, and son-in-law, Thomas Holton.

She is survived by her daughter, Evelyn Holton, grandchildren Amber and Maurice Ericson, great-grandchildren Chathan Holton, Delilah Ericson, and Sawyer Ericson, sister-in-law, Noell Honea, Minnie Grogan, and a great many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Neicey Luque for opening her home and providing wonderful care to Sarah.

Thursday, November 6, 2025, the family will accept friends from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at Ingrams Funeral Home, and a graveside service will follow immediately at Sawnee View Gardens.
