Bobby James

Today we celebrate the life of a beloved life partner, father, son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin and friend, Bobby 'BIG Bob' Jackson-James.

Always Originally Genuine, Bobby was a loving man who loved his family and life and always lived life boldly.

Bobby was born November 10, 1967 in Miami, Florida to the late Earnest James, Jr. and survived by his loving mother Gloria Jackson-Mingo of Miami. He was raised by his late loving grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Earnest James Sr.

Bobby entered eternal rest on January 14, 2026 at Waycross Memorial Hospital; he was 58 years old.

Bobby received his early education from Pierce County Schools and attended high school in Pierce and Wayne Counties. After high school, Bobby lived between Miami and Offerman, Georgia. Offerman (The Big O) was always Bobby's first love and he was proud to call Offerman his home.

Bobby crafted the way he lived his life, without any regrets. Bobby had childhood dreams of joining the Army, but life took him on a different path.

He loved to travel, explore new things, meet new people, and do it all on his four-wheeler when he was home in The Big O. Bobby hardly ever met a stranger, and always had a knack for drawing people close to him.

He had a love for fashion, and loved to compliment his swag with jewelry and nice smelling fragrances. His grooming was always apart of his look, because he always wanted to be well groomed. Even on his sick bed, he complained about not being neatly shaved, and not being able to keep his finger nails clean and neat. He truly believed you feel good when you look good.

Bobby's warm and loving personality left an indelible mark on all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was always quick to share a laugh, offer a smile, and stand on business for his loved ones through thick and thin.

Bobby's family held a special place in his heart, and he supported them with unwavering love until the very end. Of all the wonderful things Bobby experienced in his life, absolutely NOTHING bought him as much joy as his children and family.

Early in his life Bobby met his Honey Sheik Hartzog, who would become the wind beneath his wings. Bobby and Sheik's loving relationship produced four children.

Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Earnest James, Jr.; grandparents: Earnest James, Sr and Mary E. James.

Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 12:00 pm on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Evergreen Church in Bristol, Ga. A public viewing will be held from 5-7:00 pm on Friday at Harrington Family Chapel.
