Bobby Merrill Killough was born on January 21, 1947, in Big Spring, TX, and passed away on November 29, 2022, at the age of 75 years old in Kyle, TX. Bobby was the Son of Ollie Mae Williams-Killough and William Collins Killough.
Bobby was predeceased by his father, mother, and 10 brothers and sisters. He is survived by Linda Killough (Wife), Kippie Shelton (Daughter), Richard Jackson (Son), Kacie Killough (daughter) and James Earl Killough (brother).
Bobby went to high school in Moran, TX and graduated in 1965. He was drafted into the army in 1966 as a combat specialist in the Vietnam war, and he was honorably discharge in 1968. He was a man of many trades including pool hall owner, surveyor, car mechanic, tire salesman, maintenance supervisor, and manager. He was a very dependable hard worker, and he was very proud of being a veteran.
He was married to Linda Killough on April 11, 1969. They spent 53 wonderful years together, and had 2 daughters, 1 son, and 8 grandchildren.
He enjoyed MANY hobbies such as fishing, hunting, making knives, collecting Indian artifacts, making replicas of Indian artifacts, collecting coins, and gardening. His FAVORITE activity was spending time with his grand babies. He also enjoyed writing short stories and writing posts for his Prayer Warrior Facebook group. He was very patriotic, and he wants everyone to know he never voted for a democrat. He was a jokester and lived to make people laugh. He loved to talk and practically never met a stranger. He was also known to embellish a story or two, especially a fishing story.
He will be remembered as being an amazing Pappy to his grand kids, for his many years playing Santa Claus at Christmas, being a talented craftsman, gardener, and fisherman, a devoted husband to his wife, an incredible basketball/softball coach, and a buddy to so many.
Visitation will be held at Harrell Funeral Home of Kyle on Saturday, 10th of December 2022 at 2:00 PM, and the memorial service will be held at Harrell Funeral Home of Kyle on December 10, 2022, at 4:00 PM with Pastor Lyons officiating.
