Robert Killough Obituary
Robert (Bob) was the youngest of three boys (James and William) born to Durwood and Anna Killough of Cato, NY on October 1, 1941.
Bob was a 33-year veteran of the New York State Police, retiring as a Senior Investigator in the Bureau of Investigation (BCI) and was a 25-year veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve, rising to the rank of Chief (E-7).
Bob was predeceased by his loving wife of 58 years, Suzanne Fay Killough (Sue). He is survived by one son, William E. Killough (Jennifer) and 4 grandchildren, Christopher 38, Caitlin 35 (Michael), William 32, (Amanda) and Robert 29. He was also especially close to his Sister-in-Law Margaret and four nieces, the beloved "Killough Girls." Lori (Brian), Karin, Erin (Tony) and Kristen (Jack).
Bob and Sue were long time residents of Canastota, NY where he was very active in the American Legion Post 140 and served as Commander before moving to Hawthorne, FL in 2003 where they lived until Sue's passing in 2020. Bob then moved to Alva, FL where he met his long time companion Janice Fowler and stayed until late 2025 when due to health conditions, he moved back to NY in Marlboro to be closer to family.
Bob was a devout Catholic and a Eucharistic Minister. He enjoyed motorcycling, hunting and fishing as well as being an avid chess player. He can now rest in peace and reunited with his love wife Sue.

Bob and I went through troop school together and we shared many miles together making the trip back and forth to the academy. We served together in Troop D and if only we could legally tell the stories. RIP my brother, save a place for me but nothing too soon. Jack
