Bobby Anthony Loupe AKA Bad Ass Loupe
BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Bobby Anthony Loupe AKA Bad Ass Loupe, passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, the 14th of October 2025 in Brownsville, Texas. He was 71 years of age.
Bobby was born on May 6, 1954 in Franklin, St. Mary Parish, Louisiana, son of the late Lionel Joseph Loupe, Sr. and Lucinda Mae LaJaunie Loupe. He later moved to Brownsville, Texas where he was a shrimp boat captain and retired from shrimping after 40 years of service. His favorite pastimes included hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family.
Bobby was definitely one of a kind. He was a character with a big heart and an even bigger mouth. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all.
Preceding Bobby in death are his son, Bobby Anthony Loupe, Jr.; his parents, Lionel Joseph Loupe, Sr. and Lucinda Mae LaJaunie Loupe; and his brother, Lionel Joseph Loupe, Jr.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Penny Loupe; his two baby girls, Brandy Loupe and Skylar Loupe; his three sisters, one brother, and extended family members.
Visitation will be held at Twin City Funeral Home in Morgan City, Louisiana, Wednesday, October 22, 2025 from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM. The visitation will resume, Thursday, October 23, 2025 from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11:00 AM. The internment will then follow at Morgan City Cemetery, 450 Myrtle Street, Morgan City, where Bobby will be laid to rest beside his beloved son, Bobby Jr.
