Cheryl Estay Blakeman, born on December 6, 1957, in Morgan City, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026, at her residence in Patterson, Louisiana. A beloved mother, sister, and nanna, Cheryl will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Cheryl was a remarkable individual who possessed a profound love for cooking and relished each moment spent on the water, where she found peace and tranquility. Cheryl’s life was characterized by her unwavering love for her family, her kindness to friends, and her enjoyment of shared experiences. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Cheryl is survived by two sons, Brandon Blakeman and wife Heather, Joseph Blakeman and wife Karyn, and cherished the role of Nanna to Madison, Alli, Dru, and Eli Blakeman. She is survived by her sisters Linda Reynaud and husband Jessie, Mary Hasket and husband Carl, Charlotte Hill and husband John, and Denise Estay. Cheryl's warm spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she loved.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Charleston and Beulah Estay; two sisters, Barbara Ann Estay Vining and husband Sterling, and Charlene Dallas; her twin brother, Charles Estay Jr., and one grandson, Kole Blakeman.
A visitation will be held in her honor at Twin City Funeral Home on March 12, 2026, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Following the viewing, a funeral service will commence at 11:00 AM at the same location. Interment will follow as we lay Cheryl to rest in Morgan City Cemetery.
