Rock Hill, South Carolina - Mr. Bobby Earl Mew, 86, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1830 Celanese Road, Rock Hill, SC with Reverend John Nowaczewksi officiating. Join the family in honoring Bobby by driving your classic car or hot rod from the church to Grandview Memorial Park, 620 South Cherry Road, Rock Hill where he will be laid to rest. Visitation with family and friends will be Friday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, and other times at the family home, 1114 Delmere Court, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
Born in Conway, SC, Bobby was the son of the late Leamon Mew and the late Grace Allen Mew. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Charlie Long; his sister, Betty Jane Richardson. His passion was restoring antique cars, hot rods and music. He was a member of many classic car clubs, the Elks Lodge, and Covenant Presbyterian Church, where he served as an Elder, Deacon, and choir member.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Dorothy Buffkin Mew; his daughter, Stacey (Tommy) Reeves of Rock Hill; his son, Bobby Earl (Nikki) Mew Jr. of Rock Hill; eight grandchildren, whom lovingly called him "Papa", grandsons, River, Lake, Cameron, Sebastian, Jack; granddaughters, Raine, Skye, Morgan and Mia; great-grandchildren, Alice Grace, Liam, Violet, and Rori.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Bobby Mew's name to Covenant Presbyterian Church.

I worked as a curb hop at the Park Inn Grill throughout my RHHS school years (59-63). Never forgot The Black Panther, that 60 ford with a continental kit out back.
