Bobby Monroe Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hills Funeral Home - Fairmont on Jan. 29, 2026.
Bobby Jeffery Monroe of Lumberton, North Carolina reached the unreachable star and fought his final battle with sickness and pain on Tuesday January 27, 2026, at 11:45 p.m.. Having a desire that her brother not go alone his sister Jan was at his bedside. With no fear and somewhat alert and aware of his position he succumbed to death while a patient at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton. In doing so he peacefully and bravely faced death and found peace. Bobby was very unique and lived life his own way. He was the son of the late Bobby Junius Monroe and the late Brenda Joyce Ivey Monroe. Being born and reared in Robeson County he was a typical happy young man with dreams of which some he realized, others he did not in this life. Before his passing Bobby reaffirmed his faith in Jesus Christ and accepted Christ as his personal Savior. We feel sure that our kind heavenly father welcomed him home. He is survived by his loving and faithful sister Brenda Jan Monroe of Lumberton, NC and other family members who will remember him with love. He was sixty-three years old. No service is planned at this time.
