Bobby Moore, 97, of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, November 12th. He was born in Conasauga, TN to George W. and Lennie Dunn Moore. He was the youngest of eleven children.
He was an active member of Westwood Baptist Church for many years before his health prevented him from attending.
Bobby, Daddy, Papaw Bob loved to travel and spend time with his family. He was a Korean War Veteran and retired from the Tennessee National Guard. He also retired from Bowater Paper Mill after working there for forty years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, all of his brothers and sisters, his first wife of forty-six years Maggie Pritchett Moore, his second wife of twenty-four years Thelma Ingram Moore, and his daughter Claudette Fox.
He is survived by his daughter Roxie Aurand, son Lynn (Kathy) Moore, and son-in-law Ronnie Fox. His legacy continues through his grandchildren Chris (Ashley) Fox, Jamie (Kelly) Fox, Michael (Emily) Aurand, Joshua (Andrea) Moore, and Jessica (Jake) Derrick as well as his great-grandchildren Jordan (Brennan) Graham, Brady Fox, Maggie Fox, Jackson Fox, Charlie Moore, Winnie Moore, and Violet Moore. He will also be missed by special friends and staff at Brookdale Assisted Living.
The family wants to express their sincere appreciation to the nurses at Bradley Medical 3rd Floor North and Hospice of Chattanooga for their help in caring for him. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Chattanooga or the Alzheimer's Association
The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home located at 2412 Gerorgetown Rd. Cleveland, TN 37311. A service to follow at 3:00 pm with David Evans officiating. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
