Bobby Ray Newman

Bobby Ray Newman, age 73 of Miamisburg, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Carriage Inn of Dayton. He was born January 26, 1952 in Lee County, Kentucky, the son of the late Russell and Eugene Newman.

Bobby was an avid collector of Hotwheels and knives, and loved his '71 Duster that he built from the ground up. He was a longtime custodian for Centerville City Schools, and while living in Centerville, he became a father figure to many who resided at Chevy Chase Apartments. Most recently, he was a custodian for Antioch Unified School District in California where he retired from. Bobby made many friends who became his "car club family" with the East Bay Asphalt Outlaws and the Asphalt Outlaws of Miamisburg. Bobby will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Bobby is survived by his wife of nearly 54 years, Linda; children, Bobby Newman II (Donna Gwin), Kathy (Ronald) Slaven, and Rhonda (Todd) Geiger; grandchildren, Jonathan, Brandon (Patricia), Bradlee, Taylor (Nate), Kirsten, Caroleann (Adrian), Morgan (Juan), Logan, and Chase; great grandchildren, Brycen, Levi, Hadley, Harper, Donovan, Stevie, Charles, and Lyla; siblings, June (Ron) Ernst and Betty McCoy; sister-in-law, Linda Sue Newman; numerous loving relatives and friends; and his beloved dog, Nando.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Wilson Newman.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Newcomer Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45459). Funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Heritage Hills Memorial Gardens.
