Bobby E. Paul, Jr., 57, of Casey, IL passed away at 6:30 a.m. on Monday, October 20, 2025. He was born November 9, 1967, the son of Loise Carleen (Childress) Hammond and Bobby E. Paul.
Bob is survived by his sisters, Linda (Robert) Sloan and Janie (Harold) Brown; his nieces, Sarah (Caleb) Towles and Madison (Alex) Kostiuk; his great nephews and nieces, Jacob (Julia), Lily, Grace, Bella, Kady, Finn, Boady, and Liam; and his special friends, Rob and Teresa Reynolds. He was preceded in death by his parents and nieces, Amanda Durnil and Sydney Sloan.
Bob was a quiet person who enjoyed solitary hobbies. He hunted squirrels and mushrooms and enjoyed fishing. He once raised an orphaned raccoon. While he didn't have a higher education, he was gifted at all things tech related, including computer programming and coding. He collected computers with a range of operating systems, as well as stamps and coins. He loved to look for lost treasures with his metal detector and take black and white photos of old homes and interesting tombstones. He enjoyed cooking new recipes and trying new spices, but he wasn't a very adventurous eater and preferred to make his dishes for other people. He was the cool uncle, who bought a Nintendo and brought it over to play. He didn't have a relationship with his dad, but he found a father figure in his brother-in-law, Harold. He admired him and felt at home on the Brown farm, especially when roaming the woods.
At his request, no services will be held.
Memorial donations may be made to the donor's choice.
