Bobby Wayne Rader, age 80 of Oak Hill, WV, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2024, at Bowers Hospice House in Prosperity,WV.
Bobby was born on January 28, 1944, in Sun, WV, to parents Juanita Vernon Rader and Cecil Ray Rader.
Bobby was a power lineman, who owned his business for which he built lines for coal companies since 1975.
Bobby was an avid golfer, bowler, and all around athlete. He learned to golf from being a caddy as a kid. He was the longest living member of the White Oak Country Club when it closed.
Bobby was a Christian and loved to help people.
Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Ray Rader, mother, Juanita Elizabeth Rader, sisters, Cecilia Rader Davis and Connie Rader Phillips. Brothers, Billy Rader and Gary Rader, sons, Johnny Butler, and Gregory Rader. Nephews, Zack Martin and Larry Davis.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of sixty years, Janet Rader, daughter, Kimberly Rader,daughters in law, Gail Rader and Connie Smith. Sister Joan Hamilton (Randy) and brother, Marvin (Shelly). Bobby leaves three special cousins, Joe, Buster, and Donna, who were like siblings. Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. A grand dog, Sugaree.
Special friends Ed Meador, Charlie Toney, and Mike Montgomery will always have a special place.
Services will be held at Mountain View Church of God at 3:00 pm on Thursday, September 5, 2024, with visitation from 2:00-3:00 pm. with Pastor Kevin Taylor officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society, St. Judes,or Bowers Hospice House.
