JACKSONVILLE - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Bobby "Lupo" Rutherford at the age of 44. Bobby passed away in a tragic automobile accident on August 19, 2024 in Beulaville, North Carolina. He was born September 6, 1979 in Baltimore City, Maryland and later moved to North Carolina in 2009.
Bobby was a devoted husband to Elizabeth Rutherford and a cherished father to his four children, Kyrstin Rutherford, Kayla Rutherford, RJ Rutherford, and Tyler Fuhr. He was also a loving grandfather to Braden Wilmer and would have been to Ty'Aire Wilmer, who is expected to arrive soon.
Bobby was a loyal friend, brother, son, uncle, and nephew. Loyalty meant everything to him and he loved his friends and family fiercely. His larger than life personality was a testament to his character and he embraced it wholeheartedly.
Bobby had a lifelong passion for firearms and was an avid collector, and could often be found taking target practice.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, several family members and many of his closest friends.
Bobby's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
May he rest in peace.

Bobby will always have a piece of my heart. He spoke so highly & with such love for his family, which showed me what a decent, kind & loving man he was. Always with a smile, he could make anyone´s day a better one. He will leave a void in this world but heaven gained an angel.
