Bobby Siegert Obituary

Bobby Louis Siegert, 82, passed away on September 23, 2025, surrounded by his cherished family. Born on September 27, 1942 in Bryan, Texas to James and Mary Siegert, Bobby lived a long, rich life that was dedicated to his family.

After graduating from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1960, Bobby attended Texas A&M University and remained a lifelong Aggie football fan. Bobby initially began his career working with his father and brothers in the water well industry before starting his own electrical supply company with his brother Paul. He then spent over thirty years working for Britt Rice Electric, where he made lifelong friends.

On June 19, 1965, Bobby married the love of his life LaVal See at Faith United Church of Christ in Bryan, Texas. They spent over sixty years happily married as they built a loving family. Together, they had three daughters, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandson. Bobby, or Bop as he was known to his grandchildren, dedicated his life to his family. From coaching his daughters at West Little League to criss-crossing the town, state and country for every game or graduation for his grandchildren, Bobby never missed an opportunity to be there for his family.

Bobby's spirit of generosity is reflected in his contributions to his community. He attended Faith United Church of Christ for over 60 years, where he held various board positions and worked diligently with organizations such as Twin City Mission and Smetana Cemetery. Aside from the roles he served in, Bobby was a friend to many. There was hardly a place in town he could go without running into someone he knew. His compassion for others revealed a man who sought neither applause nor recognition, but rather his sense of duty and the pure pleasure of giving.

Readily apparent to anyone who met Bobby was his humor and insistence on making the most of life. He commanded every room he entered, always with a joke or story to tell. He never met a stranger. He could typically be found playing dominoes with lifelong friends, fixing up go-karts for his grandchildren, hunting with his family, or playing golf. His persistence in making the most of life never wavered, even as he doggedly fought multiple cancers and beat every estimate the doctors gave him.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Siegert, his brothers J.O. and Paul Siegert, and his sister Linda Warren. He is survived by his wife, LaVal Siegert; his daughters Robin Fuller and husband Mark, Susan Robertson and husband Jeff, and Laurie Fay and husband Lee; his grandchildren John Fuller, Matt Fuller and wife Jessica, Jake Fuller and wife Julia, Emily Robertson, Luke Robertson, Jackson Fay, and Caroline Fay; great-grandson Bear Fuller; sisters-in-law Sondra and Melinda Siegert; brother-in-law Billy Warren; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He will be dearly missed.

Serving as Pallbearers are John Fuller, Matt Fuller, Jake Fuller, Luke Robertson, Jackson Fay, and Mitch Siegert, with Honorary Pallbearers Emily Robertson and Caroline Fay, each carrying his memory with love and honor.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bobby's honor to Bryan Community Church or Twin City Mission.
