Bobby Talley Obituary
Bobby Eugene Talley, 87, passed away on Friday September 15, 2023 at Moses Cone Hospital with his family by his side.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Reidlawn Cemetery. The family will see friends from 10:00am until 10:45am at the funeral home prior to the service.
Bobby was born in Rockingham County to the late John Will Talley, Sr. and Thelma Esther Ellington Talley and along with them he was preceded in death by all of his siblings. Bobby was a graduate of Elon University and was a retiree of Curtis 1000 in Atlanta, Georgia. He was a smart businessman who delighted in teaching others. His love for animals reflected in the enjoyment he experienced in his later years while cattle farming. Bobby was loved and respected by all who knew him and was known for being a hard worker. He was most happy when spending time with his family.
Survivors are his wife Josephine Knowles Talley; daughter Penny Jolly and husband, Jay and son Bruce Talley and wife Nancie.
