Bobby Jean Taylor Sr., age 80, formerly of East Prairie, MO, passed away August 26, 2025, at his home in Oran, MO.

He was born January 4, 1945, in East Prairie, MO, son of the late Charlie Taylor and Anna Lee Flowers-Taylor.

Bobby was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the Army Reserves and had worked for McIvan Jones Farms for 30 years before retiring.

He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren; reading the East Prairie Eagle; having 'Coffee Shop Gossip' at Gas-A-Mart; and giving pets to his beloved dog, Bella Jean.

He was married on April 26, 1980, to Penny Taylor-Moss, they have two children born of this marriage.

Survivors include one son, Bobby Taylor Jr. (Linli Williford) of Oran, MO; one daughter, Kerri (Gary) Taylor-Senciboy of Oran, MO; two brothers, Thomas 'Bud' Taylor of East Prairie, MO and Don Ray Taylor of Bertrand, MO; one sister, Betty Krauss of Morley, MO; two grandchildren, Lillian Senciboy and Case Taylor; a bonus grandchild, Hadley Williford; and a dear family friend, Hoyt Carter.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents; an older brother, Bill Taylor; two sisters-in-law, Pam Taylor and Tammy Taylor; and one brother-in-law, Herbert Krauss.

The Taylor family want to send a special thank you to in-home care aid, Candy Oller, and the VA in-home care team.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 2, from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, MO.

Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery with full military honors.
