Bobby Joe Tryon was born on August 31, 1951, in Leona, Texas, to the union of the late Calvin and Wesann Tryon. He was the sixth born of seven children. He accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age while attending Hillary Chapel United Methodist Church. He was a faithful member until it's closure. He graduated from Douglas High in 1969. He later moved to Houston, Texas where he proudly worked in the trucking industry for forty years. On January 24, 2001, he married his "Boo," Robbie Tryon. He loved traveling, fishing, cars, and watching Westerns.
On Monday, September 29, 2025, Bobby departed this life to eternal glory. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Wesann Tryon; his siblings, James Culton, Travis Culton Sr., and Beverly Babineaux. Bobby leaves to cherish his memories with his wife, Robbie Tryon; two children, Michael Young (Wanda) and Phalon White (Roberto); three bonus children, Daniel and Roderick Price (Jessica), and Shamicka Harris (Trenton); a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Williams (Leonard), Faye McKnight (Ronald), Joyce King; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A homegoing celebration honoring the life of Mr. Bobby Tryon will be held 12 Noon, Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas. Rev. Tavara Jones will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Culton Cemetery, Leona, Texas. A visitation will take place prior to the service Saturday from 11 A.M. to service time at the funeral home.
