We sadly announce the passing of Bobby Lee White, affectionately known as Bob, on December 28, 2025. Bob was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
Bob was born on March 2, 1941, in Crown City, Ohio, to the late Chauncey and Nellie (Miller) White.
Bob was the loving father of five children, Rodney (Sue), Rick (Michele), Robbie, Johnna, and Randy. He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Elyse, Karlie (Joel), Nick (Chelsie), Sarah, Josh (Brooke), Kyle, Kaylin, Alec (Emily), and Justin (Vanessa); He was also a cherished great-grandfather to fifteen and a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Norma Jean Boggs, Betty Warren, Doris Rusk, Loris Jones, Billie E. White, and Gerald White and his son Randy.
Bob worked for many years in the steel industry as a crane operator, a role that reflected his strong work ethic and dedication. Outside of work, he found joy in hunting, fishing and was a passionate sports enthusiast, never missing a basketball game—professional or college—and always tuning in to NASCAR and drag racing.
Bob was a proud graduate of Fairland High School in Proctorville, Ohio, where he was a member of the basketball team, a passion that stayed with him throughout his life.
Bob will be remembered for his love of family, his loyalty, and the many memories he created with those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Calling hours Celebration of Life will be on Thursday, January 8th 2026 from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM at Bissler and Son’s Funeral Home and Crematory, 628 West Main St, Kent, OH. Per Bob’s wishes there will be no services following the calling hours.
