Bobby Winton Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Stumpff-Skiatook Cremation & Funeral Home on Aug. 14, 2024.
Bobby Lee Winton was born on October 4, 1947, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Helen and Leroy Winton. He passed away on August 12, 2024, at the age of 76 years old.
As a young boy, Bob enjoyed hot rods, motorcycles, and music. He was a proud graduate of Tulsa Central High School's class of 1966. His fascination with cars carried on into his adult life, leading him to North Yale Auto Parts where he met and eventually married Jeannie Ward on December 31, 1978, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they had two children, Kendall and Kyle.
Bob worked various jobs but the one he was known for and so accomplished at was refinishing cars. His body work and paint finishing skills were award winning and featured in many publications over the years. He met so many friends over the years of working and being involved in the car business.
Being a dad and papa was Bob's greatest joy and accomplishment. From attending and entering car shows to being the leader of the Flying W Racing team with Kendall and Kyle racing four wheelers, he was the best dad with the most fun hobbies. He built the fastest and best looking boxwood derby cars so Kyle could win first place and the sweetest 1966 Mustang for his favorite daughter. He taught his children to enjoy life and instilled in them the confidence that they could do anything they set their mind to. He was always a phone call away no matter what they needed.
In 2002, his first grandson Kyler was born and he enjoyed sharing his hobby of slot car racing and drag races with him. They were two peas in a pod. Then along came Cole who has his papa's artistic talents and his love of cars. He is following in his footsteps and learning auto body refinishing. Together they went to many car shows and races. Griffin was born in 2012 and is the sweetest of the crew. Bob spent lots of time watching cartoons with him and laughing at all of his silly antics with his cousins. In 2017, the boss of the Winton family made her debut. Lynlee Anne provided her papa (and everyone else) with hours of entertainment by dancing, singing, acrobatics, and ninja skills.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved sister, Margaret.
He is survived by his wife, Jeannie, his children Kendall (and Dirt) and Kyle (and Ashley), his grandchildren: Kyler, Cole, Griffin, and Lynlee.
We will celebrate Bob's life Friday, August 16th, 5pm at Giacomo's Vineyard in Skiatook.
In lieu of flowers, we encourage you to make a donation to Skiatook Emergency Assistance Center (SEAC) or Skiatook Paws and Claws.
