Mrs. Clark was born on June 30, 1942, to the late Cyril Douglas and Myrtle Rutledge Johnson, in Oxford, Mississippi. She was the widow of Sammy Clark whom she was married to for 39 years.
Mrs. Clark was a faithful and dedicated member of New Prospect Baptist Church. After working 60 years as bookkeeper, she retired from Elliott Lumber Company. In additional to Elliott Lumber Company, she and her husband owned and operated Yocona River Inn from 1988-1993. During retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her family and doting on her grandsons and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter, Mona Hastings (Maurice) of Oxford, Mississippi; her grandchildren, C.C., Austin, and Collin; and 8 great grandchildren.
