Bobbye Jo "Boog" Moncrief, age 52, of Conway, passed away December 29, 2025. She was born in Greenville, Mississippi, on July 15, 1973 to George West and Bobbie Long West.
Bobbye Jo was an artist. Art was always close to her heart and something that came naturally to her. She found inspiration in the people she loved and in meaningful memories from her life. Creating art was her way of sharing herself with others. It was how she connected and spent time with her daughter, grandson, nieces, and nephews, creating memories they will always carry with them.
She is preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Robert and Ella Mae Williams; grandparents, Marvin and Beatrice Long, and J.C. West; uncle, Butch Long and Jack, Tim, and John West; cousin, Elizabeth West.
Bobbye is survived by her daughter, Madison Moncrief-Allen (JonathanColby Allen) and grandson, Maverik; mother, Bobbie Long West; father, George West; siblings, Jamie "Toog" West Poole; nieces, Jennifer Poole Culp (Brendan) and children, Griffin and Baker, Jaci Poole Hernandez (Abraham) and expecting baby Jose, Olivia Moncrief Snider (Jayse) and daughter Brelyn, Emily and Savannah Moncrief; cousin Zack West, Tena Kay Allen and a host of many extended family and friends.
A memorial service celebrating Boog's life will be held Saturday, January 3, 2026 beginning at 2:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Homes Conway Chapel, 1751 Dave Ward Dr, Conway, Arkansas 72034. Services will be officiated by Pastor James Wilson.
