James Edward "Jimmy" Cooper, age 87, passed away Monday, February 16, 2026 at his home.
Mr. Cooper was born in Conway, a son of the late Emerson Cooper and the late Emma Todd Cooper. He was a hard working man who loved boating and riding his tractor and golf cart. He was the owner of Cooper's Cabinet Shop for many years. Mr. Cooper was a faithful member of Free Worship Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Cooper was predeceased by his first wife, Mary Carolyn Strickland Cooper and two sisters, Eloise McDowell and Betty Jo Jordan.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Larrimore of Conway; two sons, James Randall "Randy" Cooper (Darlene) and Russell B. Cooper (Laura) all of Conway; two daughters, Dorothy Denise Chestnut (Manuel) and Kimberly Cooper Moody (Sergio) all of Conway; ten grandchildren, Amanda (Mike), Little Randy (Misty), J.M. (Christina), Little Russell (Brook), Chris, Joseph (Jennifer), Joel, Josh, Beth (Derrick), and Nathanael; 22 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren; and one brother, MacDonald "Don" Cooper.
The family will receive friends Thursday, February 19, 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, February 20, 2026 at Free Worship Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Gregg Cannon and Rev. Arthur McElveen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
