Boeun Rim, 79, of St. Petersburg, passed away peacefully in his home on October 8, 2025. Boeun was born on May 10, 1946, in Battambang, Cambodia and immigrated to the United States in 1980. He lived a meaningful life defined by his dedication to his family and the special bond he shared with his grandchildren.
Though his life on Earth has ended, the love and kindness he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him. He was the anchor that kept our family steady - strong, dependable, and always there when we needed him most. He lived a life of integrity and honesty, leading with quiet strength and setting an example that will inspire generations to come. In his honor, we invite you to take a moment to hold your loved ones close and dance like no one is watching - just as he would have wanted.
He is reunited in Heaven with his beloved parents, Rim Cheam and Khy Yuom, and his siblings, Choeun Rim, Sambun Rim, and Ay Cheam. He is survived by his devoted wife, Tea Rim, and his daughters: Sopheap Kun, Xina Rim, and Roth Reksmey Rim. He is also survived by his sister, Chum Chiem, and his eight cherished grandchildren - Sabrina, Jocelyn, Jaycob, Jaden, Myah, Ayla, Ethan, and Ariana - all of whom will continue to honor his memory.
A Buddhist ceremony will be held at Sorensen Funeral Home on Sunday, October 19, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm followed by cremation.
