Bon Jerry Sutton, a proud veteran of the Marines, passed away May 17, 2023 peacefully at his home. Jerry was born December 10, 1940 to parents Cicero and Dovie Berrong Sutton in Hiawassee, Ga. He is preceded in death by his parents, son Bradley Jeremy Sutton, brothers- Cicero Jr, Everett, Ray, R.D., Merle, Davis, Dennis, and Paul Sutton as well as one sister Mary Ann Bradley. He is survived by Daughters, Angie Turk of Cornelia Ga and Aundrea and Scott Dyer of Hiawassee, Ga. Sisters, Rose Stroud and Charlene McDowell, and brother Morris Sutton. Grandchildren, Dakota and Chelsea Barret, Tristin and Madison Turk, Darringer Barrett, CJ Turk, Jackson Wheeler, and Bradley Sutton. Great Grandchildren, Benjamin Barrett and Nora Turk . as well as numerous nephews and nieces. After his military service he went to work at General Motors while going to school to earn a degree as a journeyman pipefitter and obtaining his contractor license for Heating, Cooling and Ventilation. Once he retired from General Motors he worked operating his Heating And Air Service. His favorite hobby was racing. He owned several race cars over the years and spent most of his free time at the dirt track.. Visitation will be held Saturday May 20, 2023 at Banister Funeral Homes at 12pm with services immediately following at 2pm. Dakota Barrett will be presiding over the services, with Scott Dyer, Darringer Barrett, Tristin Turk, Harold Cunningham and Tristin Dyer serving as Pallbearers. He will be laid to rest at Burch Cemetery in Hiawassee.
