Bona Nuckles, Jr., age 77, of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Montgomery Nuckles of Lawrenceville, GA; children, Veronica Wansley of Braselton, GA, Felton (Shatara) Montgomery of Lawrenceville, GA, Luvennia Nuckles of Sugar Hill, GA, Mary G. Nuckles of Lawrenceville, GA, Felton D. (Angelica) Montgomery of Oakwood, GA; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Wanda Nuckles of Murfreesboro, TN; brothers, John (Shree) Nuckles of South Fulton, GA, Donnie Nuckles of Flowery Branch, GA, Michael Nuckles of Decatur, GA; Christopher (Kimberly) Nuckles of Douglasville, GA, Joel Nuckles of Richmond, MI; special friends, Larry Nuckles, Leonard Poole, Obadiah Lott; and special cousin, Benjamin (Patrice) Nuckles; several nieces, nephews, and cousins;
Mr. Nuckles was born September 20, 1947 in Buford, GA. he served in the U.S. Army for four years. He retired from the Gwinnett County Government for the Sheriff Department from September 29, 2001 until November 12, 2011. He also had worked for General Motors Assembly Plant as a Security Guard from June 25, 1973 to January 22, 2008. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Nuckles enjoyed playing cards and shooting pool.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA. The family will receive friend on Sunday, February 9. 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
