Confident of the peace of God, which exceeds anything we can understand, the family of Mark Wade Henry announces his death on February 20, 2026 at 56 years old.

A life-long Atlantan, Mark was born on August 1, 1969. He grew up in Buford, GA where his childhood was filled with joy and a love of sports, particularly baseball, that he carried with him as an adult. As a teenager he helped coach local youth sports and loved hanging out with family and friends. He graduated high school from North Gwinnett in 1987 before going on to college at the University of Georgia. He received his Bachelor's Degree there in Accounting in 1991 from the Terry College of Business. His love of UGA radiated all throughout his life and he always enjoyed a good rivalry football game.

Post college, Mark worked for BDO Seidman and then Ernst & Young before launching a truly impressive financial career where he served a variety of companies from PracticeWorks Inc as VP of Finance, Eastman Kodak as Director of Finance, to across the years being CFO of OHC Group, Kids II, Windham Enterprises, and Ray's Restaurants.

Mark and Elizabeth (Liz) were married in New Orleans. Their family grew to include three beautiful daughters whom they adored and were so proud of.

Mark is survived by his three daughters, Mary Elizabeth (Lizzie), Catherine Clann (Cat), and Margaret Bolles (Maggie); his parents, Tommy and Freida Bennett Henry; brother, David (Kim) Henry; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Elizabeth and John Bolles; and brother-in-law, John (Erin) Bolles, Jr.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Liz; his grandparents, Willie and Leona Henry, and L. W. and Evelyn Long Bennett; and his dearly loved bulldog, Dooley.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at Northminster Presbyterian Church at 2:00 p.m. located at 2400 Old Alabama Road, Roswell, GA 30076. Mark's niece, the Rev. Courtney Ann Henry will officiate the service. Family will greet friends and guests after the service.
