Bonita V. "Bonnie" Martin

Bonita V. "Bonnie" Martin, age 91, of Columbia City, IN, passed away at 1:15 pm on Saturday September 13, 2025, at Parkview Kosciusko Hospital, Warsaw. Born on December 27, 1933, in Columbia City, she was the daughter of Earl and Vesta (Fry) Coverstone.
Bonnie was a lifetime resident and attended local schools. She was a homemaker and also worked at Dana Weatherhead for over 33 years until her retirement in 1995.
Bonnie was a member of Etna Community Bible Church, Professional Businesswomen's Association, was a former Cub Scout Den Mother, and school room mother. She enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, crocheting, and jigsaw puzzles.
Survivors include her children Gary (Nellie) Martin and Melodie (Randy) Wolfe, both of Columbia City, and Dale (Alisa) Martin of Scottsburg, IN; 16 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings Don (Sharon) Coverstone of North Webster and Ken Coverstone of Mena, AR.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Glenn Martin, and brothers Dean Coverstone, Eugene Coverstone, and Earl Coverstone, and sister Doris Coverstone.
Funeral services for Bonnie will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday September 18, 2025, at DeMoney Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, with calling two hours prior to service.
Burial will follow in Scott Keister Cemetery, Columbia City.
