Brian Christopher O'Connor

Brian Christopher O'Connor, 53, of Columbia City, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, October 21, 2025. Born October 5, 1972, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, he was a son of John and Barbara (Koloski) O'Connor.
He graduated from Norwell High School with the Class of 1991 and was an Evans Scholar at IU Bloomington. On June 3, 2000, he married Angela Bresler at Lakeside Park in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Brian worked for CSX Transportation for 22 years.
In his downtime Brian was an avid movie watcher and could often be found in his favorite recliner. Brian also loved to ride his motorcycle and always found so much peace in the fresh air and the roar of the engine. Brian absolutely loved helping people whether it was being the "Popcorn Giant" and buying his kids' classmates popcorn, doing charity events and rides with The Handsome Boy's Motorcycle Club, or doing whatever he could for the guys at his terminal. Everything he did was driven by kindness and with everything he had. He would always say "If we're going to do something, we are going to do it right."
Brian is survived by his wife, Angela O'Connor; children, Marisa and Mako O'Connor; parents, John and Barbara O'Connor; siblings, John (Melissa) O'Connor, David O'Connor, Amy (Joseph) Kindig, Maggie (Adam) Crampton; father-in-law, John Bresler; sisters-in-law, Heather (Rob) Callahan, Jill (Vester) Damron; brother-in-law, Nate (Linda) Bresler; and numerous extended family members. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Linda Bresler.
Visitation will be 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm Sunday, October 26, 2025, at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City.
