Bonnie Sue (Aldrich) Day, 87, of Boonville, MO, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2024, in her home, surrounded by loved ones. Bonnie was born on April 12, 1937, in Excello, MO, to Andrew and Nellie (Good) Aldrich.
Bonnie was employed at Toastmaster in Moberly until it closed and then went to work for Orscheln (ORBCO) in Moberly until she retired. She was a very strong, independent woman. In 2005, shortly after she retired, a tornado came through and sucked her out a small window. She lost everything but pulled herself together and got another home. She loved picking up walnuts by the truck bed full. She loved to crochet pot holders and make necklaces. She was very caring and would give you the shirt off her back or her last dollar if you needed it. She was never afraid to stand up to anyone and set them straight. She always smiled when she saw her loved ones and wanted good-bye hugs when they left. A kick in the bottom meant she loved you. Her family and friends will always remember her blackberry cobbler and chocolate pies. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joy of her heart, and she enjoyed being a grandma!
Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Nellie Aldrich; her brothers, Junior, Joe and Lloyd Aldrich; her sisters, Betty Hudlemeyer and Jerri Davis; her son, Richard DeWayne Struble; and great grandson, Dunkin Bradley.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Brown; daughters, Kathy Jo Alnutt and Tina (Bruce) Rudder; grandchildren, Christy (Dustin) Bradley, Crystal, Derease (Butch) Bradley, Lee (Reisa) Struble, Alan Trainer, Cassandra-Kass Wilkin, Corey Wilkin, Codey Wilkin; step-grandchildren, Trenton (Michala) Rudder, Jeremy Bell; great grandchildren, Conner, Bridget, Alyssa, Destinee, Shanann, Payton, Clara, Haley, Aiden, Mason, Michael, Ray Lee Ann, Lyla, Nevaeh and Rikki; step great-grandchild, Maverick; extended family and friends, Leanne, Alyson, Meagan and Tiffany; and many nieces and nephews.
