Bonnie Henry, 86, of Bucyrus, died early Monday, February 19, 2024 at Orchard Park.
She was born April 18, 1937 in Gibsonburg, Ohio to the late Edward and Gladys (Humphrey) Felkey. On May 28 1955, she married William T. “Bill” Henry and he preceded her in death on June 18, 2019.
Bonnie cared for her family as a homemaker and will be specifically remembered for keeping their home immaculately clean. She also assisted Bill around the farm and spent 27 years working at the C.E. White Company in New Washington.
Bonnie was a strong willed and ambitious person who prior to her Parkinson’s disease, was always on the go. She enjoyed being outdoors whenever possible and was devoted to her family. She called her daughters daily to check in and see how everyone was doing. Bonnie enjoyed music and whatever she was doing, she was listening to one of her favorites. One of those favorites being Billy Ray Cyrus who she had seen in concert on many occasions.
She is survived by children, Timothy (Sherry Overmyer) Henry, Cindy (Miles Horsley) Henry and Judy (Dale) Sipe, grandchildren, James Henry, David (Jen Burkett) Henry, Danielle “Dee” McCullough, Tammy Brady, Tonia Sipe and Shelby Sipe; great grandchildren, Ryan, Sidney, Jaydan, Nilya, Errol, Kamren and Britney as well as great-great grandchildren and extended family members.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill and four siblings, Madonna, Viola, Keith and Charles.
Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:55 am Friday, February 23 at Wise Funeral Service, where her funeral will follow at 11:00 am with Dale Sipe officiating. Bonnie will be laid to rest in Brokensword Cemetery. Donations can be made payable to either the Parkinson’s Foundation, St Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to Shriners Hospitals for Children and these gifts will be accepted through the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy are encouraged to be shared on her guestbook.
