Bonnie H. Mitchell, 86, of Newburgh, IN, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at her home. Bonnie was born on July 17, 1937, in Lafayette, Tennessee to the late Clarence S. and Effie A. (Dyer) Walton.
Bonnie was a Dental assistant for 27 years, before that she was a communication equipment engineer for Thompson Electronics. Her favorite job was being the best wife, mother, and Nanny, and left a legacy of love, and being “Nanny” to many. 
Bonnie is survived by her children; Doug Mitchell, Leanette Gardner (Scott); grandchildren, Elanie Arnold (Doug), Doug Hurt (Lydia), Jonathan Mitchell (Kiona), Natalie Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Jacie and Elcie Arnold, Gretchen and Bo Hurt, James and Alina Mitchell, and her two siblings, Jeanette Connell, and Tommy Walton (Donna).

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Mitchell, siblings; Ezma Krick, Esble Harper, Valene Hubbard, Mary Alvey, Sellie Walton, Morgan Walton, and Randell Walton.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m., with visitation beginning at 12/Noon., Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh IN 47630 with Rev. Jonathan Walton officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 701 N. Weinbach Ave, Ste 510 Evansville, IN 47711.
