Bonnie was born on February 16, 1931, in Hale, Missouri, to John Edward and Anna May (Parker) Case. She attended school in Hale and graduated in 1949. A devoted member of the Hale Baptist Church, she was also active in the Grace Club.
On May 28, 1949, Bonnie married Howard Moritz at the Baptist parsonage upon his return from the war. Together, they built a life rooted in love, family, and hard work.
Bonnie cherished her role as a farm wife and mother, always taking care of those around her. She welcomed several nieces and nephews into her home with open arms. Many of her children & grandchildren learned the value of hard work by pulling weeds and snapping green beans at her kitchen table.
In 1981, Bonnie became a Certified Nursing Assistant and began working at Hedrick Medical Center, where she found great joy in caring for her patients and forming lasting friendships with the staff. She also volunteered her time working at numerous elections. Bonnie and Howard shared a love of camping, serving as campground hosts at several sites. They enjoyed traveling to Texas in the winter with her brother and sister-in-law, forming cherished friendships along the way.
Bonnie lived life with boundless energy and embraced every moment. She was known by many names-Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma, Great-Great-Grandma, and Mamaw-but, above all, she was the heart of her family. She took great joy in being involved in her loved ones' lives. Bonnie was also known for her famous angel pudding, the highlight of every family dinner and a beloved tradition that will be deeply missed.
Bonnie is survived by her sons, Larry Moritz of Kansas City, Missouri, and Lee Moritz and wife Marci of Tina, Missouri; seven grandchildren: Howard Moritz, Tiffany McCracken, Travis Moritz, Lance Moritz, Preston Moritz, Lacy Bowling, and Lucas Moritz; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; her brother-in-law, Glen Riley; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Howard; son, Lynn Moritz; brother, George Case; sisters, Vivian Shoemaker, Eula McMichael, and Winsome Riley; and sister-in-law, Ruth Ella Case.
