Thomas Alan Moritz

Thomas Alan Moritz, native of Omaha, Nebraska and resident of St. George and Jacksonville, passed away in the evening of Thursday, February 5, 2026 in the comfort of his home, age 80.

Thomas was born on September 24, 1945 to Mr. Francis and Donna (Huey) Moritz. After high school graduation, Thomas would go into interior construction and was a trim contractor. He was a skilled builder and poured himself into projects that reflected his hard work. He enjoyed trips to the beach in his free time and was an avid hunter as well.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Cynthia Moritz of St. George, Georgia; son, Thomas A. Moritz, Jr. of Johnson City, Tennessee; sister, Cheri Moritz of Oregon; half brother, Rick Donn of Kentucky; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 2609 Park Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32204, with Father Jan officiating.
