Bonnie Marie Morgan Robertson

Bonnie Marie Morgan Robertson, 71, of Marion, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Mission Hospital in Asheville.

She was born in McDowell County on February 18, 1954 to the late Boyd Dotson Morgan and Florence Nelson Morgan.

Bonnie retired from Baxter Healthcare following 40 years of dedicated service. She was an accomplished baker and enjoyed doing that for her family and friends. She had a special place in her heart for cats, but above all, she loved her family, including her special nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Clyde Morgan, Reid Morgan, and Benny Morgan, and two sisters, Karene Bartlett and Glynda Haynes.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jeffrey Smith; two children, David Carroll and Shane Carroll; three step-children, Robby Robertson (Amanda), Stephanie Suttles (Mike), and Reid Smith (Amy); nine grandchildren; one sister, Lois Buchanan (Kermit); and eleven nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 7, 2025 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel.
