Bonnie Shaffer-Goetz Obituary
Mass/Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 10, 2025, at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 1201 S. Cherry Ln., White Settlement, Texas 76108.
Bonnie was a hair stylist for over 40 years in the iconic department stores of Monnig's and Stripling's; later known as Stripling and Cox.
She was a volunteer at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church for many years. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. She loved camping, especially in the mountains of Colorado. She also loved to bake special cakes for birthdays and pies for the holidays. Her children have fond memories of Monday night roast dinners, angel food cakes, and Sunday afternoon drives in the country.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her first husband of 49 years, Wendell P. Shaffer (Pete).
She is survived by her husband of 8 years, James (Jim) Goetz; son, Jeff Shaffer and wife, Dawn of Benbrook, and his sons, Eric and Jarred; daughter, Lisa Schwarzer (Shaffer) of Fort Worth and her daughter, Madison; and daughter, Karen Horn (Shaffer) and husband, Marty of Baton Rouge, LA and their son, Landry.
