Bonnie L. Watson July 25, 1951 - August 7, 2025
Bonnie L. Watson, age 74, passed away on August 7, 2025, at the U.T. Medical Center. Bonnie's life was a testament to her unwavering faith and the love she held for her family, friends, and community. She was born July 25, 1951, in New Tazewell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleo and Gladys Watson, and her brother, Buster Watson. Her legacy continues through her devoted children, Tony Winkler and his wife Lori, Dr. Marcus Winkler and his wife Heather, and daughter Mitzi Rutherford and her husband Blake. Her brother Coy Watson and his wife Sarah Katherine, as well as her treasured grandchildren, Justin Winkler, Wyatt Rutherford, and Elizabeth Winkler. Bonnie's memory will also be cherished by her numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends who were blessed to know her.
Bonnie's professional life was marked by her compassionate service as a registered nurse. She was a retired clinical manager at The Fresenius Dialysis Clinic, where she dedicated approximately 20 years of her life to caring for others with both skill and empathy. Bonnie's commitment to her profession was only surpassed by her dedication to her faith. She was saved by grace at an early age and remained a lifetime member of Watson's Chapel Church, where she was a source of support and inspiration to all who crossed her path.
Special recognition is given to Dr. Wahid Hanna and the associates of U.T. Medical Center, including the nurses and staff, who provided exceptional care and support to Bonnie and her family during her final days.
As we bid farewell to Bonnie, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a journey completed with grace.
Graveside services will be conducted Monday August 11, 2025, at 1:00pm in the Watson Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Brandon Coffman officiating and music will be provided by the Watsons Chapel Church Choir.
Pallbearers: R.M. Dooley, Roger Brooks, Scottie Watson, Allen Watson, Coy Watson and Mike Smith.
