Bowen Reese Young, the cherished infant son of Bailey Jacob Young and Jena Marie Shriver, was born into this world on November 7, 2025, in Gallipolis, Ohio, and left us on the very same day. Though his time with us was fleeting, the love and joy he brought to his family will forever be imprinted in their hearts.
His arrival filled his family's life with dreams, hopes, and endless possibilities. He was a precious little soul, the embodiment of love and promise, even for the brief time he shared with us. His parents, Bailey and Jena, held him close, filling his days with warmth and gentleness, surrounded by the unwavering support of his loving family.
Bowen was the beloved grandchild of Eric and Angie Shriver, who welcomed him with open arms and hearts overflowing with pride. He was also blessed to be the great-grandson of and Brenda and Ralph Young, Phil and Carol Powell and Roberta Shriver, reminding us of the legacy of love that surrounds him.
Though he will never know the laughter of his maternal great-grandfather, John Shriver, or the playful spirit of his Uncle Bowen Shriver, these family members watched over him from afar, with hearts full of affection. In their memories, Bowen's spirit will live on, a symbol of the love that transcends time and space.
As we reflect on Bowen's brief journey among us, we are grateful for the profound impact he had in his short life. His legacy serves as a reminder of the beauty of life, no matter how brief. He will be lovingly remembered by his family, who will carry the light of his presence throughout their lives. Though they must now navigate a world without their little angel, they will forever cherish the moment he graced it with his existence.
Private Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Gallia Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Mark Dunlap officiating. The McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, is honored to share care for the Young Family.
