Boyce Long

Boyce E Long, age 84, of Manila, passed from this life Thursday, March 12, 2026, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Son of the late Johnny and Lillian Bert Long, he was born in Rosie, Arkansas, and raised in Leachville. He was a longtime Manila resident and worked for several area farms for much of his life. Boyce was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church in Manila and loved fishing, mowing his lawn, and watching westerns. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers: AJ, Loyd, Lonnie, and Robert; and 2 sisters: Linda and Inez.

His wife of 58 years, Diane Long, of the home

1 daughter, Paula Long Bryant (Todd) of Jonesboro

1 grandson, Benjamin Bryant of Jonesboro

1 brother, Otis Long (Kay) of Lake City

2 sisters, Virginia Collins (Doy) and Ruby Case, both of Western Grove

A special sister-in-law, Joyce Long, and a special niece who was like a second daughter, Karen Karr

Boyce also leaves many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 16, 2026, in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila. Burial will follow in Macey Cemetery in Monette.
