Boyd Jackson Duckett

1947 - 2026

Boyd Jackson Duckett, 78, resident of Greenwood and husband of Pamela Harrison Duckett, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at his home.

Born July 1, 1947, in Whitmire, he was a son of the late Rev. Boyd M. Duckett and Inez Crisp Duckett. He was a 1965 graduate of Whitmire High School and attended Piedmont Technical College. Boyd served his country in the United States Air Force, serving in France, Africa, and Libya. In 1975, he founded Duckett's Painting, Inc., and faithfully ran the office until the day of his passing. Earlier in his career, he worked with Greenwood Mills Compound and at the Sloan Plant.

He was a member of Augusta Highway Baptist Church.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of the home, are two sons, Boyd Mike (Jama) Duckett of Ninety Six and Billy Duckett of Greenwood; three daughters, Sheila Stewart, Amanda (Tommy) McCollum, and Elissa (Chris) Turnburke, all of Greenwood; one sister, Beth Farmer of Whitmire; one brother, Eugene (Wendy) Duckett of Gray Court; twelve grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Jennifer Young.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Kenny Griffin and Rev. Chris Harrison officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Mike Duckett, Billy Duckett, Brandyn Norris, Robert Carroll, Chris Turnburke, and Wyatt Loftis.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

Memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of the Piedmont, Augusta Highway Baptist Church, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
