COLUMBIA - Brad Allen, 63, and Joyce Marie Dunn (Peabody), 58, unexpectedly went to be with the Lord on March 6, 2019, in Richland County, South Carolina.
Brad was born in Denver, Colorado on April 10, 1955. He graduated from Kingman High School in 1973. He then worked in automotive retail with Napa at numerous locations for more than 35 years, at one point owning his own store location in Sierra Vista, AZ. After retirement, Brad spent time as a Lyft driver where he enjoyed interacting with many new people.
Joyce was born in Tucson, Arizona, on December 8, 1960. She graduated from Buena High School in 1978. She went on to graduate from the Devoe College of Beauty and worked as a beautician in her own salon. Later she owned a sprinkler installation business. She spent the last 10 years working in retail leadership with JoAnn Fabric with whom she was preparing to retire.
Brad and Joyce were married on March 23, 2006, in Hereford, Arizona; they would have celebrated their 13th year of marriage this year.
Brad was preceded in death by his youngest daughter, Chylon (Lonnie) Gregory; brother, Bruce Dunn; and father, Lee Dunn.
Brad is survived by his mother, Stella Dunn; sisters, Kathy Dunn, Tia (Bret) Falconer, and Traci (Allan) Somers; brothers, Jerry (Tina) Dunn and David Dunn; daughters, LeeAnn (Brent) McCaig, Laura (Darryl) Dunn, and Lisa Dunn; grandchildren, Hunter, Parker, and Carter McCaig and Caleb and Carson Gregory; as well as many treasured nieces and nephews.
Joyce was preceded in death by her step-son, Timothy Chamberlain and her father, Garry Peabody.
Joyce is survived by her mother, Rosalie Covello; sister, Sandy (Len) Shamas-Roberts; brothers, Tim (Leona) Peabody, Allen (Azlor) Peabody, and John (Donna) Peabody; daughters, Sarah (Curtis) Graves, Jessica (Michael) Shaw, Sandra Chamberlain, and Tamie (Dan) Aguilera; step-son, Joshua Chamberlain; grandchildren, CJ (Hope) Graves, Monica (Carey) Chastain, Daisy Graves, Clayton Ortwein, Austin, Grace, and Lewis Shaw, Michael and Brighton Johnson, Amelia Aguilera, Nathan, Hadden, Justen, and Trista Chamberlain; great grandchildren Elijah, Zayden, Malaki, and Genesis Graves; as well as three nieces and one nephew.
Services for Mr. and Mrs. Dunn will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Presbyterian Church, 4950 E. Segundo, Sierra Vista, AZ 85650, Saturday, March 30, 2019. A Celebration of Life, to share memories, will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 30 2019, at The Knights of Columbus, 156 N.W. Kayetan Dr., Sierra Vista, AZ 85635.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the non-profit organization End Distracted Driving (ENDDD.org). Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, assisted the family.
