Brad Podlesak

Brad Jeffrey Podlesak, age 45, died November 2, 2025 at his home in Jefferson, Iowa.
Brad was born November 26, 1979 to John and Susan (Dunifer) Podlesak at Greene County Medical Center, Jefferson, Iowa. He attended schools in Greene County, graduating from Jefferson-Scranton High School in 1998. He later moved to Missoula, Montana where he attended Montana College of Technology, graduating with a degree in welding.
Brad returned to Jefferson in 2010 with his son, Jude, and dedicated his life as a single father raising his son. Brad was employed at Bauer's in Paton. He loved watching sports! The Iowa Hawkeyes, NASCAR and Demo Derbys were Brad's favorites.
Brad is survived by his son, Jude, of Jefferson; his parents, John and Susan of Jefferson; his brother, Nicholas and his wife Mary and their children, John, Sadie, and Layla of Ankeny; plus his aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Services for Brad Podlesak include a Prayer Service at 4:00 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2025 at Slininger-Schroeder Funeral Home in Jefferson, with Fr. Bill Schreiber presiding. Visitation with family and friends will follow from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Slininger-Schroeder Funeral Home in Jefferson. Memorials in Brad's honor may be directed to the family or left at Slininger-Schroeder Funeral Home.
