Bradley Dean Tebbutt went peacefully to be with Jesus surrounded by family on October 18, 2025, at age 66, just seven weeks after being diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. Brad was born September 13, 1959, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, the third child of Paul and Lillian Tebbutt.

Brad married Jennifer Reed, the love of his life, on May 16, 1981. Brad enjoyed telling the story of how they first met in the toddler nursery at church and that it was love at first sight! Together, they invested in the youth of several churches in Canada, California, Oregon and Washington. Brad’s creative energy and his leadership skills impacted district and national youth events, and he helped lead many young people closer to Jesus. Brad had a soft heart and devoted his life to serving Christ and others.

In 2012, Brad and Jennifer and their children came to Kansas City and dove into ministry at the International House of Prayer. Brad launched Simeon Company with a passion for encouraging seniors to reach younger generations. He later served at IHOP University in the Admissions Department. His mentoring skills always came into play as he found himself surrounded by students and young adults.

Brad delighted in his two children, Chelsey and Jordan. He and Jennifer were both committed to providing every opportunity for them to pursue their God-given dreams and supporting them through each stage of life. As Dad, he shared a lot of the same interests with his children which resulted in long talks, laughter shared, and many “how-to” sessions. This included anything from photography with Chelsey to sports with Jordan. He was extremely proud of both of them and enjoyed sharing daily life with them right up to the end.

Those who walked with Brad knew his love for Jesus and his thoughtful and caring heart for those around him. Brad knew how to dream big and then make those dreams happen. He was always a team player. No one escaped his sense of humor, and his contagious laughter will ring on in our hearts.

One of Brad’s favorite Bible verses was 2 Timothy 2:2 (NLT). “You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.”

Brad is survived by his wife Jennifer of 44 years, daughter Chelsey and son Jordan, brothers Roland and his wife Margaret Tebbutt, Don and his wife Karen Tebbutt of Victoria, British Columbia, his sister Lynn and her husband Kelly Sloan of Billings, Montana, and all his nieces and nephews.

Brad will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by family members and friends.

A private gathering for family and close friends to celebrate Brad’s life will be held in Kansas City in November and another one later in Vancouver, Canada with his family.
