He was preceded in death by his parents, and his niece, Zoe Garrison.

Brad was born on October 24, 1960, in New Ulm to Wallace and Patricia (Thorson) Bode. On May 16, 1997, Brad was united in marriage with Kris Weilage, and together they raised their three children on the family farm in rural Courtland.

Brad was a dedicated worker, spending much of his career with Schell's Brewery and Seneca in Montgomery. He loved the outdoors-especially hunting, fishing, and cruising on his motorcycle.
