Bradley "Brad" Wilson Cantrell, 67, of Baldwin City, Kansas passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026 at his home. He was born April 4, 1958 in Canoga Park, California the son of Warren H. Cantrell and Doris M. (Smith) Cantrell. He graduated from Gower High School in Gower, Missouri with the Class of 1976. He later graduated with a degree in Architecture from Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas.

After college Brad moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico where he was hired by a prominent architectural firm and lived for many years enjoying everything this new town had to offer. It was in this period of life that he developed the construction of Alternative Straw Bale Adobe Homes. He was a lover of nature, hiking, gardening, cooking, painting and traveling.

Mr. Cantrell was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Doris Cantrell.

Surviving family includes, two sisters, Robin Miller and husband, Richard of Baldwin City, Kansas and Dori Workman and husband, Greg of Greeley, Colorado; seven nieces and nephews, Rachael Smith, GA, Jacob Miller, WA, Sarah Beach, KS, Anna Kurtz, FL, Kathryn Wurtz, CO, Abigail Seivers, CO and Lucas Workman, CO, and their children and grandchildren.

Brad was cherished by friends and neighbors for his warmth and willingness to help others.

A family graveside service and Inurnment will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2026 at the Vinland Cemetery to be followed by a celebration of Brad's life with friends and family at 2 p.m. at the Vinland Valley Community Church, 1724 N. 692 Road, Baldwin City, KS 66006. Memorial contributions may be made to O'Connell Children's Shelter or Prairie Paws Animal Shelter and may be sent in c/o the Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, P.O. Box 64, Baldwin City, KS 66006. Condolences may be sent to the family through www.lamb-roberts.com.
