Bradley Talbot Gilpin
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Bradley Talbot Gilpin, who left this world on May 24, 2025, at the age of 71. A devoted father, loving partner, and pillar of his community, Bradley lived a life marked by compassion, faith, and service.
Bradley is survived by his longtime partner, Lorraine Jones, and his beloved children: Krista Gilpin, Bradley Gilpin, Mary Gilpin, Gregory Abrams and Steven Gilpin. He was a proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren and a cherished great-grandfather to two great-grandchildren. His family was the joy of his life, and his love for them knew no bounds.
Brad worked hard his entire life, known as one of the best demolition and concrete cutters on the West Coast before transitioning to a new chapter of purpose. He founded, a family-owned and operated vocational service supporting adults with intellectual disabilities. Through Care-Rite, Brad helped teach life skills that fostered independence and self-sufficiency, all while creating a loving, extended family atmosphere filled with encouragement and positivity.
In 2009, he opened, a nonprofit designed to create meaningful job opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
Brad also had a hand in starting multiple programs that served adults with intellectual disabilities, including providing a care home where some found not just support, but a place to truly call home. Many of the individuals he worked with looked up to him as a father figure-someone they could trust, laugh with, and lean on.
A man with a deep sense of purpose, Brad dedicated much of his life to caring for others. His heart for service touched countless lives, and his kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Brad was a passionate fan of baseball and especially loved cheering for the Los Angeles Angels. He also lived his life as a faithful man of God who was actively involved in his community. Whether he was volunteering, offering a helping hand, or simply sharing a warm smile, Brad embodied the spirit of generosity and grace.
He will be remembered for his caring nature, unwavering love, and the quiet strength with which he faced life. His legacy is one of kindness, faith, and selflessness.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hidden Treasures or any organizations supporting individuals with disabilities, continuing the mission that Brad held so close to his heart.
He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.

As an individual of Care Rite, one of my favorite memories of Brad Gilpin was when at his retirement party, I sang him a song called "Don´t Walk Away" by ELO from the soundtrack of Xanadu. And he makes me feel better whenever I´m feeling overwhelmed, angry, or sad. He said "Remember, always stay positive". He said just that before I exited his office. And his laugh was contagious, and loving. Rest easy, my friend.

And also, take good care of two dogs Buzz and Thunder in heaven for me and my friends who loves you so very deeply.
