Bradley D. "Moe" Warchol, 69, of O'Fallon, Ill., passed away Friday, February 7, 2025 at Barnes Jewish Hospital ICU, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Brad was born June 9, 1955 in East St. Louis, Ill., to Alfred and Garnet, nee McClary, Warchol.
Brad's love for the outdoors began as a child growing up in Shiloh. He loved the woods, the river, and had a passion for hunting, fishing, and all nature. He was so grateful for a wonderful childhood and his lifelong friends with whom he still enjoyed spending time. Moe had a quick-witted personality, a gift for gab, and made friends easily while enjoying his Jack and Coke. He also had carpentry skills and enjoyed helping others with home projects, alongside his brother Todd and their friends, never asking for anything in return. He retired from O'Fallon Lumber and was a member of Local 50.
Brad is survived by a son Brent (Whitney) Fincher and their children Lucy and Abel; his brothers Rick Warchol of Shiloh, Mark (Angie Ficken) of Bradenton, Fla., Shelly Scher of O'Fallon, and Stacey (Darrel Huller) Warchol of O'Fallon, sister-in-law Tina Warchol, special loving niece Julia Warchol Black, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends and neighbors. Brad is also survived by Marcia Fix and her children Amy (Bob), Dess (Kelly), and Brian (Ashley) Fix; and their four grandsons Wyatt, Stosh, Axton, and Colton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved brother Todd Warchol.
Special thanks to family and friends, especially Mary Munie, who assisted Marcia over the past several weeks, and to the staff at BJC ICU for their kindness to Brad and family.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 15, 2025, beginning at 2 pm, at Wings of Shiloh, 321 S. Main St., Shiloh, Ill. Burial will be at a later date at Shiloh Cemetery. Wolfersberger Funeral Home, O'Fallon, served the family.
