Brandi Shanta Perkins Cox, age 46, of Dawsonville, GA made her journey home on August 7, 2024. Brandi was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church. She was a great mom, wife, daughter and sister and had a tremendous love for animals, especially her dogs. Brandi loved and enjoyed riding horses and playing softball. Brandi was a friend to everyone she met and enjoyed helping folks she did not even know with the simple things in life. Brandi was preceded in death by her husband, Brad Cox; mother, Martha Wallace Perkins; grandparents, R. B. & Sarah Perkins and Ralph & Myrtie Wallace; aunt, Mary Wallace Porter; and father-in-law, Lawrence Newton Cox.
Brandi is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Trevor & Emma Cox; father, David Perkins; sister, Stacy Bearden; nephew, David D. Doust;mother-in-law, Evelyn Cox; brothers-in-law &sisters-in-law, Greg & Melanie Cox, Tim & Casey Cox; uncles, aunts, cousins and numerous other relatives also survive.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Saturday August 10, 2024, in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Gerral Richards and Rev. Joey Wallace, officiating and speaker, Chris Porter. Interment will follow in Macedonia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 am until hour of the service.
In lieu of flowers the family ask for donations to be made to help with the funeral expenses.
