Brandon Williamson Coke, was born to Susan Williamson-Coke and Victor Coke on Halloween morning at the New York Hospital in 1985. He was a joy and a delight to his parents. At the tender age of 2 1/2 years old, he started swimming lessons. To everyone's surprise, he excelled at it so much that by the age of 5 he started participating in local and regional swim meets. One such meet was in Rochester, NY, but it did not matter to his father, because he would drive him wherever the meets would take him. Not particular to any specific swimming form, Brandon excelled at all them. By the time, the family moved to Rockland County in 1992, Brandon switched his interest to basketball and eventually to football.
Brandon received his early elementary schooling in the Bronx at Saint Mary's Star of the Sea school in City Island. Upon moving to Rockland County, he continued his education until graduating from Ramapo Senior High School. Brandon was very personable and as such he had a lot of friends and acquaintances. It was rare to go somewhere in town without at least one or two people acknowledging him and taking the time to delve in a little banter. Brandon enjoyed spending time with his family accompanying them on many memorable family trips including the family cruise to celebrate his father's 70th birthday. It was during that trip that Brandon had the opportunity to find his love for photography, which he later pursued as a hobby.
Brandon had a plethora of jobs in different industries along the way. Always looking for the job that gave him joy and paid well. At each of the employments, he was very dedicated at being the best employee at the various jobs that he held. Following in the path of his father, Brandon was able to work in the construction industry, until a work injury left him unable to meet the demands of job. As difficult as it was, Brandon did his best to find jobs that could accommodate his injury. In 2024, he moved to back to the Bronx to help his father fix his grandmother's house. It was his plan to help bring her home and be her full-time caretaker. In March of 2025 Brandon was able to be with his grandmother to celebrate her turning 100 years old. In May of 2025, Brandon had a stroke and spent weeks in the hospital. For a moment things were looking up, and he was moved to a rehabilitation center for therapy. Unfortunately, he had a set back and ended back in the hospital for a few days before going back to the rehabilitation center. After, spending a few more weeks there, he was transferred to a long-term care facility. After two weeks there he was transferred back to the hospital due to extreme pain. Brandon was readmitted to the hospital during the last week of June, and passed away on August 16th .
He leaves his father Victor, sister Tori, grandmother Ruby, and half-brother Randy, to mourn his loss; As well as an extensive extended family and many friends.
